Islami Bank Appoints Dr. Kamal Uddin Jasim As AMD

Dr. Kamal Uddin Jasim has been Elevates as Additional Managing Director (AMD), of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC marking another accomplishment in his over three decade long career with the country’s largest Shariah-based bank.

Dr. Jasim began his career with Islami Bank in 1992 as a probationary officer and has since played a significant role in the bank’s operational and development growth. At this long time of his career , served in several leadership capacities, including Chief Human Resources Officer, , Deputy Managing Director, and head of key divisions such as Operations, Development, Business Promotion & Marketing, as well as Dhaka East Zone.

In addition, Dr Jasim started his career in journalism contributing to leading national dailies including The Bangladesh Observer and Dainik Ajker Kago before joining the banking sector. , He completed his Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka, followed by a PhD from the Institute of Business Studies,University of Rajshahi, in 2005.

Without his career he also focused on his professional skills , Dr. Jasim actively involved in academic, economic, and social forums. At present he contributing at the Dhaka University Alumni Association as Treasurer . He is also contribute with the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Economic Association, and several other national and international bodies.

Apart this, Dr Jasim has taken part in numerous international conferences and training programmes across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania, strengthening his expertise in banking leadership and regulatory frameworks.
