BB to Launch Commercial Invoice

The central bank of Bangladesh want to inseminate a new obligatory reporting assertion within its subsisting Online Import Monitoring System (OIMS) to further ease the import trade process. Bangladesh bank reported a circular on Wednesday to proclaiming the new introduction of a new reporting feature named commercial invoice enclosed by the OMIS.
According to BSS, Dealers (ADs) to submit more detailed reports. To introduce a new measure to further simplify the import trade process.
It will be effective from November 1, 2025, this regulation has been issued under the authority of Section 20(3) of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947, and Section 45(1)(Gha) of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
Presently, ADs report that import transactions related information through the Online Import Monitoring System (OIMS) of Bangladesh Bank. Under the new provision, ADs must additionally report data specifically extracted from the commercial invoice and other supporting documents.
